Old Town Honey
Redesigning a label to align with small business identity

Overview
→ Role: Designer
→ Collaborators: Beekeepers from Old Town Honey
→ Deliverable: Label that better aligned with the owner's values
Initial flavors
All the directions the design could go
Rather than simply going by words alone, it can help to visualize the options available. Thus, I designed a few different variations to inspire and to get a feel for what the clients wanted.

Choosing text
We also took a look at the myriad of text options available to get a feel for the design possibilities.
Keeping the options open helped to produce many iterations to choose from, while grouping the iterations by font combinations to avoid overwhelm.

Adding decorations
I then combined the assets into complete compositions incorporating California icons like California poppies to serve as a visual cue that the honey itself was made in California.

Final outcomes
A visually pleasing label that better aligned with their brand identity
